The Circulatory System
The first two weeks of the Summer Term will be spent looking at the circulatory system. This topic will teach the Science Objectives listed below but will also be the theme for English (writing non-chronological reports) and will link with Maths (recording and interpreting data)
- Identify and name the main parts of the circulatory system and explain the functions of the heart, blood vessels and blood (including the pulse and clotting)
- Take measurements, using a range of scientific equipment, with increasing accuracy and precision.
- Record data and results of increasing complexity using scientific diagrams and labels, tables, bar and line graphs.
- Report findings from enquiries, including oral and written explanations of results, explanations involving causal relationships and conclusions.
